Multimedia Exhibition Theme

So it's time we decided exactly what our exhibition theme will be! So everyone can have their say, we are going to have a vote on all 14 of the ideas that have been discussed so far. Please rate every idea as the top 4 will go through to the final round where one will be chosen, click the images to enlarge.

1. Red Light District (Moulin Rouge)

If we were to call ourselves creative... Could we possibly be....OBSCENELY CREATIVE? How about setting up our exhibition like a red light district of creativity, with red lanterns, sharp contrasty colours (black and red and some orange/blue), street signs.

2. Two worlds collide

Creative vs Professional. Originally "Born to Be Professional" where we show the professional side to being a multimedia graduate, delivering on time etc. Others felt "digital creativity" - the two combined created 2 worlds colide. A vision of creativity coming head to head with professionalism.

3. George Wood's Design

Heres a random idea I just put together... I like the idea of using dark backgrounds with bits of really bright bold colours.

4. Sam Marshall's "Someone Designed That"

"Someone Designed", Check out the concept. See what you think, it can be worked with...

5. Romans, 3 Heads

I`m thinking each one of them could be either a caricature or somehow customised to bring out something of the flavour of each pathway.

6. I Love Multimedia

7. City Scape (Notts Silhouette Buildings)

Perhaps we do it to represent the nottingham city and find a cool city scape of notts that we cud stencil on the walls... or just do as last year did and draw it first then project it onto the walls to paint. Cheap and cheerful solution.

8. City Scape (MM Silhouette Objects)

One option is to look at Surrealism and make an unusual city scene incorporating our multimedia objects. A city scape - but the buildings are made from mobile phone silhouettes for example.

9. Steampunk

This Steampunk theme is about cogs and how an individual cog can work together with other cogs to create a working machine, but without one cog, the machine won't work. Although this is a cheesy concept it's more about the subtle suggestion it creates - We are individuals that can work well in your team/company.

10. Circus

Pretty self explanatory, also the idea of business cards attatched to balloons... http://www.samuelmarshall.com/mm/baloon.jpg

11. London Tube Map

Perhaps we make it a bit cheesy with like road routes or something like that where they all lead back to Multimedia... Could even have it on the floor guiding people to areas they want to go check out, maybe complex but could simplify this if people like the sound of it....

12. Just displaying our own work

Imogen posted: they are coming to see our work, so lets get some awesome talking points over the walls, some cool design work, some students sketches (seriously, alex card, just check his blog out) and all sorts. i think we really need to keep all focus on us, slap our work all over the place.

13. Disney's, Up

We could have a city scene with 'random' multimedia objects that solve everyday problems within the city scene. Maybe a city scene of notts with a few ppl painted into in with multimedia objects.

14. Playing with Proportions

Just play the proportions of our multimedia objects within a room or another place

This rating system fits perfectly into my research project as an artefact and I would be really grateful if you could complete this very short questionnaire. Thanks, Daryl.
